Old is gold as seniors compete in Seniors National Games finals

In Singapore, 90-year-old Kwok Noi, suffering from osteoporosis and poor eyesight, threw three discs in a row at the Seniors National Games finals, showcasing her remarkable skill. Her daughter and teammate, Chan Yip Pheng, 68, praised her daughter's aim, noting that her vision problems do not hinder her performance. The Seniors National Games, organized by Sport Singapore, is an annual event featuring five adaptive sports for those aged 60 and above.

Kwok, at the older end of the age range, was among over 6,000 senior athletes who participated in the competition's finals at OCBC Arena on August 4. The atmosphere was lively, with cheering teams and customized attire, reflecting a competitive spirit. While Kwok and Chan only advanced to the quarter-finals, they have found a deeper bond through their shared experience, as Chan's mother had limited time for sports in her youth.
