Nine killed in escalating long-range strikes between Russia and Ukraine

Five individuals were killed and 10 more injured in a warehouse strike near Moscow, Russia as Ukraine continues targeting Wildberries facilities, according to local officials. The incident occurred approximately 69km (43 miles) south of the Kremlin, although it has not been confirmed if the site belonged to the Russian online retailer.

Two additional Wildberries warehouses were damaged in St Petersburg and Tver regions. Ukrainian officials assert the depots supply the Russian military, a claim Moscow denies. Russia's defense ministry intercepted and destroyed 320 drones overnight. In the Moscow region, a warehouse caught fire at an industrial site in Chekhov, with seven of the injured in moderate condition and one in serious condition.

Elsewhere, an electrical substation and administration building were also damaged. A Wildberries facility in Tver was reported to have been hit, with a video capturing burning warehouse and thick smoke. A fire completely destroyed a Wildberries warehouse in Samara region, along with all the stored goods. Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that an 89-year-old woman was killed and seven others injured in a Russian strike on Mykolaiv.

Two more Ukrainian residents were killed and four injured in separate strikes in Sumy. Russian strikes also injured two more people in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and another food warehouse was torched in Dnipro. The incident occurred following a drone attack on a busy beach in Krasnodar region, killing seven and injuring 58, according to Russian officials.

Ukrainian Telegram sources alleged it was a deliberate strike targeting civilians, but both sides deny targeting civilians intentionally.
