If you hate parrying, projectiles in Beast of Reincarnation are ridiculously overpowered if you focus on leveling them up

In the action-packed game Beast of Reincarnation, projectiles prove to be incredibly powerful if one prioritizes upgrading them. Despite the game's emphasis on parrying and dodging, players can make combat less reliant on these techniques by focusing on crossbows and long bows. These weapons, obtained early in the game, turn out to be the easy mode without needing to resort to the game's actual easy mode.

Upgrading projectiles, such as arrows and bolts, results in them effortlessly decimating health bars from a safe distance. Even bosses with multiple forms, which typically last longer than an ammo supply, can be dealt with using projectiles. However, while projectiles reduce the need for parrying and dodging, they do not completely eliminate the requirement for these tactics.

The protagonist, Emma, starts with a crossbow, which becomes a game-changer when players decide to invest heavily in upgrading it and the long bow. The crossbow's projectiles, when properly upgraded, can obliterate enemies with ease. Even if enemies close the distance, Emma's entanglement gauge allows her to float safely mid-air while raining down destruction upon them.

The game's skill tree, particularly the bottom left section, provides the best starting point for projectile-focused play. Skills like Tracking Shot, Magic Bullet, and Scatter-Shot significantly enhance the effectiveness of ranged attacks. Additionally, investing in Emma's Hair skills is crucial for maximizing the benefits of projectile play.

Furthermore, weapons can be upgraded at workbenches and campsites, and each arrow and bolt can be individually upgraded. Upgrading individual ammunition, such as acid arrows, can further increase damage and the number of arrows in Emma's quiver. By focusing on projectile upgrades, players can experience a viable playthrough of Beast of Reincarnation, even in subsequent New Game + attempts.
