Ghana Gas’ 2025 performance strengthens government’s Gas-to-Power agenda – Energy Minister

The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has commended Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) for its robust performance in 2025, highlighting the firm's pivotal role in Ghana's energy security and industrial growth. During the company's 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Accra, the Energy Minister emphasized that Ghana Gas achieved substantial progress throughout the year, encompassing enhanced gas processing capabilities, elevated Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) output, and a remarkable 97% surge in net profit.

The AGM afforded shareholders the chance to examine the company's 2025 Annual Report and Financial Statements, which underscored Ghana Gas' impact on Ghana's energy landscape and the wider economy.

For Jinapor, the company's accomplishments underscore its crucial function in advancing the government's Gas-to-Power policy, ensuring a dependable energy supply for electricity generation and various industrial pursuits. "Ghana Gas exhibited remarkable results, registering growth in gas processing and LPG production alongside an exceptional 97% increase in net profit," he stated.

The Minister implored the management of Ghana Gas to persist in enhancing operational efficiency, augmenting essential infrastructure, and pursuing sustainable investments to fulfill Ghana's escalating energy requirements. He stressed that a robust energy sector is indispensable for fostering industrialization, generating employment opportunities, and fostering enduring economic expansion.

Jinapor assured that the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition would remain in collaboration with Ghana Gas to bolster its capacity and position the company as a cornerstone in Ghana's energy metamorphosis.
