DJI's Mic Mini 2S is the first in its Mini lineup to feature internal audio recording, providing a crucial backup for creators who may face clipped audio. This addition addresses a common professional concern: the lack of a reliable backup. The Mic Mini 2S boasts 32-bit float internal recording, which guarantees high-quality and dependable audio for camera or smartphone recordings. Impressively lightweight and discreet, the Mic Mini 2S is the lightest and most inconspicuous DJI wireless mic in its lineup.

The transmitters, having a slightly heavier weight of 14.5 grams, are equipped with 14.5GB of built-in storage, offering enough capacity to record 28 hours of 24-bit audio or approximately 21 hours of 32-bit float audio. The inclusion of 32-bit float audio is a game-changer, as it ensures that sound won't clip, which can be a lifesaver when audio levels are pushed too high. The Mic Mini 2S offers three tone presets: Regular for balanced audio, Bright for added clarity, and Rich for a fuller, warmer tone.

The Mic Mini 2S is compatible with select DJI cameras via the OsmoAudio Direct Connection and can connect to any mirrorless camera with a 3.5mm mic input or smartphones via an adapter. It's available in Europe for £169 or 189 EUR, including a 1,950mAh charging case that can charge two transmitters and a receiver around 3.2 times, delivering about 42 hours of operation. Despite its limitations, the Mic Mini 2S proves to be a convenient and highly efficient wireless mic for creators.
