Brittany Snow Joins Sydney Sweeney in ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’

Lionsgate has announced the casting of Brittany Snow alongside Sydney Sweeney in their upcoming film "The Housemaid's Secret." Snow, recognized for her roles in "John Tucker Must Die," "Hairspray," the "Pitch Perfect" series, and "X," will portray the character Marybeth. Reuniting from the first film, Michele Morrone is set to return as Enzo.

Paul Feig will continue his directorial role, along with producing through Pretty Dangerous Pictures alongside Laura Fischer. Noteworthy producers include Todd Lieberman, Kaylee McGregor, and Sweeney through her Fifty-Fifty Films banner. Carly Elter, who returned for the first film, is set as executive producer once again, alongside Alex Young.

Rebecca Sonnenshine, who penned the original adaptation, will once more contribute her talents to the screenplay for "The Housemaid's Secret." Based on Freida McFadden's bestseller, the film revolves around Millie, who takes on a position as a housekeeper for a woman she cannot see, only to uncover truths concealed behind a locked door that could expose darker secrets.

Carly Kujawa and Maria Ascanio are managing the project for Lionsgate. Robert Melnik facilitated the studio deal. Known for her work in "John Tucker Must Die," "Hairspray," the "Pitch Perfect" series, and "X," Snow is currently starring in the Netflix series "The Hunting Wives." Other recent endeavors include "The Beast in Me," "The Night Agent," "Murdaugh: Death in the Family," and the Academy Award-nominated short film "Red, White and Blue."

Scheduled for release on December 17, 2027, "The Housemaid's Secret" is set to open in wide theaters.
