Bayer Leverkusen working to bring Al-Ittihad’s Moussa Diaby back

Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly pursuing a move to sign Al-Ittihad's Moussa Diaby (27), according to Sky Sport Deutschland. While a formal agreement has not been established, discussions are reportedly well underway. The transfer, if completed, could be executed for a fee below €30 million. Carles Martínez Novell, who recently took charge of Leverkusen, is reportedly interested in incorporating the French winger into his 4-3-3 system.

Should the deal proceed, Diaby would return to a club with which he is familiar, having made 172 appearances (49 goals and 47 assists) for them between 2019 and 2023. Diaby, born in Paris, departed from Aston Villa for Saudi Arabia two years ago, where he played 71 games (11 goals, 31 assists) and captured two titles with Al-Mundiali.
