Alan Jones told 17yo 'there are no rules' at his home, court hears

A man has testified in court that broadcaster Alan Jones made him feel "trapped" during alleged incidents of kissing and touching when he was a teenager. The 85-year-old veteran broadcaster has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the indecent assault and sexual touching trial, with the proceedings expected to last several weeks.

The first of six male complainants has detailed a night at Jones' farm, where he alleged the broadcaster demanded he shower and come out wearing only a robe. According to the complainant, Jones told him, "You've got to remember, there's only one rule here... there are no rules." The court heard that Jones instructed the then-17-year-old to return from the shower wearing a robe and nothing else.

The complainant said he wore underwear underneath the robe and felt his heart racing as he sat on the couch beside Jones, who allegedly rubbed his genitals against the outside of the robe. The man further alleged that Jones pulled him towards him, kissed him, and their naked genitals touched. There were additional allegations of indecent assaults, including Jones allegedly masturbating simultaneously with the complainant on the bed.

The man recounted another visit to Jones' farm when he agreed to stay at the Circular Quay apartment but planned to confront Jones about the behavior. Jones allegedly gave him a "chomping motion" kiss on the mouth without consent before bed. The complainant expressed disappointment in himself for not standing up to Jones, stating he was prepared to lose everything to put an end to the behavior.
