3 personal mobility devices impounded in Yishun for flouting rules

On August 3, LTA officers impounded three personal mobility devices (PMAs) in Yishun for violating rules regarding usage, speed, and size. The domestic helper and her employer's child used a PMA that was modified to carry two people, which no longer met the requirements to be classified as a PMA. The device was found to have a speed of 39.69kmh, exceeding the legal limit of 6kmh.

Additionally, a motorised personal mobility device (PMD) and a power-assisted bicycle (PAB) were also seized. The PMD was clocked at nearly 100kmh, surpassing the 25kmh limit. The LTA conducted the enforcement operation at Northpoint City mall between 8pm and 10pm, part of their efforts to ensure residents adhere to the new PMA rules introduced on June 1.
