Lang recommends investing in high-quality curtain rods and rings to make curtains look more expensive and advises against using paper shades for long-term use.

Tufted sofas, which are typically bulky, are another item she'd never have in her home, suggesting lighter sofas with modern designs instead. Lastly, she advises against small living-room rugs as they can make a room feel unbalanced, recommending a large, anchor rug that fits the space properly.
