VIDEO: Police rescue man from mob over one chance robbery allegations in Rivers

A video that surfaced on Instagram on Sunday captured a tense moment in Rivers State, where a man narrowly escaped a mob's wrath over allegations of involvement in a one-chance robbery operation. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect was accused of stealing a young woman's mobile phone during an incident that took place inside a commercial bus.

The suspect was then apprehended by a group of youths, who allegedly assaulted him before security personnel arrived on the scene. In the video, police officers can be seen taking the suspect into custody, cuffed and escorted away from the scene, preventing a potential lynching by the angry crowd.
