VIDEO: Oyedepo condemns killings, says ‘I’ll pray against killers, not for them’

Living Faith Church Worldwide's Bishop David Oyedepo condemned recent killings in Nigeria, vowing to pray against the perpetrators instead of for them. The attack, which occurred on July 27, 2026, resulted in the deaths of at least 30 individuals, including women and children in Kaduna. The cleric described the attackers and their alleged sponsors as "destructive agents," stating that judgment awaited them.

He rejected calls for prayers on behalf of the attackers, insisting, "You can’t slaughter members of my family and want me to pray for you. I pray against you, against your household, against your generation, in the name of Jesus." Oyedepo also alleged that the attackers were being sponsored, declaring, "Every sponsor of killers in Nigeria, you come under a curse today."

He criticized the government's silence on the persistent violence, questioning why officials remain silent while people continue to be killed. Oyedepo expressed concern over restrictions on public preaching, stating that divine justice was imminent and warning, "When you see God keep quiet at the wickedness of the wicked, it’s because the bubble is about to burst."
