US player Reddy gets eight-year ban for match-fixing

U.S. cricketer Akhilesh Reddy has been banned for eight years for match-fixing, the International Cricket Council announced on Monday. The 26-year-old was found guilty by a tribunal of attempting to fix or improperly influence matches, as well as trying to get another player to engage in similar activities. He also deleted data and messages from his mobile device related to the investigation.

Reddy's attempt to influence another player did not succeed. The ban is effective from November 21, 2025, as per the ICC's statement. Reddy last represented the U.S. in cricket in April 2025.
