TVET main peranan penting lahir modal insan kemahiran tinggi, titah Raja Perlis

During the opening ceremony of the 2026 Northern Zone Politeknik and Community College Conference at Harumanis Hall, PTSS, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, the Raja of Perlis, emphasized the crucial role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in cultivating skilled, creative, and innovative individuals prepared for future challenges.

Innovation, he stated, is no longer a choice in a constantly changing world but an essential foundation for progress and competitiveness. Tuanku Sirajuddin noted the transformative impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation, robotics, and digitalization on the job landscape and industries. "I hope a culture of innovation continues to thrive among polytechnic students and graduates," he said.

"Innovation is not merely about generating new ideas but translating those ideas into practical solutions that benefit society and contribute to national development." The Raja also highlighted that graduates should never neglect fundamental values, with knowledge and skills always guided by noble character and high integrity, coupled with patriotism.

"Outstanding graduates are not only judged by their qualifications but also by their honesty, reliability, and good character... continue confidently, utilizing their knowledge and skills while contributing positively to society, the nation, and the country," he stressed. The conference, held from today until August 9, gathered 6,104 graduates from polytechnics and community colleges in Perlis, Kedah, and Pulau Pinang.

In the first session of the opening ceremony, a Diploma in Digital Technology recipient from the Department of Technology, Information, and Communication (JTMK) at PTSS, Teerti Ganapathi Rao, 22, received the President's Leadership Award for Education in Politeknik and Community Colleges.
