Trains short-terminated due to landslip between Yedakumari and Shrivagilu stations

A series of train cancellations occurred on August 1 due to a landslip between Yedakumari and Shrivagilu stations on the Mysuru Division railway line. Trains SMVT Bengaluru-Murudeshwar Express, KSR Bengaluru-Kozhikode Express, Vijayapura-Mangaluru Central Express, KSR Bengaluru-Karwar Express, Murudeshwar-SMVT Bengaluru Express, Kozhikode-KSR Bengaluru Express, and Mangaluru Central-Vijayapura Express were all affected.

All trains were either short terminated at various points between Hassan and their final destinations, or partially cancelled. The affected area had experienced multiple landslips due to heavy rainfall, leading to the restoration work currently underway. Additional resources, including earthmovers, have been deployed to hasten the restoration process.

SWR officials are closely monitoring the situation and working to restore train services safely and efficiently. The inconvenience to passengers is deeply regretted. Any further changes to train services will be communicated through official channels.
