Staj Günlükleri #2: Mühendislikte Proje Yönetimi, Agile/Scrum ve Kurumsal Süreçler
Herkese selam!
Halo! 🌞 My embedded systems internship's second week concluded with a focus on project management methodologies, corporate documentation, repository/operations processes, and internal software systems. Acting as an aspiring engineer, I experienced more than just the coding or hardware aspects of a project; exploring organizational and operational processes proved to be a highly effective week.
Here are the main headlines and lessons learned from week two: 🛠️ Daily Week Overview 📌 1. Day: Project Management and V Model (V-Model) V Model: Examined how verification and validation stages of software and hardware development processes progressed in parallel. Standards: Focused on the lifecycle of a product from its concept stage to testing in engineering projects. 📌 2.
Day: PMI, PMP, and Project Management Standards PMI & PMP: Studied Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and the Project Management Professional (PMP) approach. Lifecycle Management: Analyzed the lifecycle stages of a project within organizational settings, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. 📌 3.
Day: Agile & Scrum Framework Adaptive Approach: Investigated the flexible project management methodology capable of quickly adapting to changing requirements. Scrum Structure: Analyzed sprints, daily stand-up meetings, backlog management, and roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Team) in the integration of embedded and software projects. 📌 4.
Day: Documentation Search, Archiving, and Barcode/Label Operations Manufacturing Operations: Experienced document search, digital archiving, labeling standards, and systematic data entry steps firsthand. Barcode: Implemented barcode scanning, label removal, physical label application, and their implementation in database/table record processes for product and component tracking. 📌 5.
Day: Corporate Software (Redmine & Netsis Interface Reviews) Redmine (Project & Task Management): Studied an open-source project management and issue/bug tracking interface, Redmine. Task Introduction, Effort Tracking, and Work Distribution: Observed these processes. Netsis (ERP Systems): Gained insight into how Netsis interface manages stock, materials, warehouse, and organizational operational data within the context of Corporate Resource Planning (ERP) systems. 💡 Insights from this Week Just Coding Isn't Enough: Developing a great piece of hardware or software is insufficient.
Proper management and documentation of a product according to PMP or Agile standards directly determines its success. Traceability: Through barcode scanning and Netsis/Redmine systems, I witnessed how crucial it is for large corporations to be able to trace a product from its smallest component to its highest-level task. 💬 Let's Talk!
Do you prefer traditional methods (Waterfall/V-Model) or adaptive methods (Agile/Scrum) for your software or hardware projects? How do you integrate systems like Redmine or similar ERP tools in your company? Share your experiences in the comments below!
