One Nation reveals Victorian state leader ahead of November election

One Nation has revealed Warren Pickering as the party's leader for the upcoming Victorian state election. Pickering, an army veteran and former Senate candidate, will not only lead the party but also contest the lower house seat of Pakenham. The party has announced their intention to govern in Victoria, with six new upper house candidates, including a former Liberal party defector, Colleen Harkin.

Pickering emphasized that his party aims to govern Victoria, labeling it "the most fiscally and morally bankrupt state in Australian history." He ruled out a coalition with the Liberal party, stating they plan to win their own contest. Victorian Labor is facing a challenging situation, with polls indicating a potential Liberal-One Nation government.

The party has yet to disclose its state agenda but promises to clarify it within a month, focusing on farmers, crime, and corruption. Other candidates include Mark Nicholson, creator of the "Please Explain" cartoon series, and Aaron Sanford, a lawyer. One Nation's Victorian MP, Rikkie Lee-Tyrrell, will also contest her seat. Federal One Nation leader Pauline Hanson stated that the party intends to run candidates in every Victorian seat, with more to be announced soon.

She vowed that their candidates would restore Victoria and remove the Labor government she believes has damaged the state. The ABC, The Guardian, and the Age were denied access to the press conference, with Hanson stating she was "not putting up with their rubbish, I'm not putting up with their spin."
