Lok Satta leaders oppose proposal to set up RRB in Amaravati

On Monday, leaders of the Lok Satta party and representatives from various organisations voiced their opposition to a proposed establishment of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in Amaravati. At a round-table meeting in Visakhapatnam, Bhishetti Babji, President of Lok Satta Andhra Pradesh, asserted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's purported letter to the Centre would adversely affect jobless individuals from North Andhra.

He contended that the RRB should be headquartered in Visakhapatnam, given that the South Coast Railway Zone is based there. CPI leader J.V. Satyanarayana Murthy, along with others, voiced their support for the demand and implored the State government to reconsider its position.
