Hybe's new girl group Tuide to debut Aug. 24

SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Yonhap) -- A new girl group, Tuide, will officially debut on Aug. 24 under the banner of ABD, a new label within Hybe, the K-pop giant behind international sensations BTS. The septet, consisting of Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah and Yi Hani, will release their first EP titled "Tune & Play." The name of the group is a nod to the phrase "Tune the Tide," representing their goal to blend various musical influences into a cohesive sound.

The members, hailing from diverse backgrounds including South Korea, the United States, Britain and Japan, exhibit individualities that the agency believes will result in a unique fan experience. Under the guidance of veteran producer Han Sung-soo, who has worked with K-pop acts like Seventeen, After School, Iz*one and Tws, Tuide is poised to make a significant impact on the global music scene.

A preview event was held in Seoul for selected fans, showcasing all tracks from their upcoming album.
