Report – Man Utd Flop Agrees to Join Juventus But There’s a Catch

Man Utd outcast Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly interested in transferring to Juventus this summer, but a catch awaits. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian giants need to offload Jonathan David first. David, who signed on a Bosman deal last year, had a disappointing first season in Serie A, scoring only six goals in 35 league games.

The Canadian forward also faced criticism from the Allianz Stadium crowd. The club has placed him up for sale, with his availability crucial for Juventus' pursuit of Zirkzee. The Turin side has already signed Jeff Ekhator and is close to bringing back Randal Kolo Muani, who will likely replace Dusan Vlahovic. Despite Lois Openda's departure from Juventus, Luciano Spalletti remains keen on signing Zirkzee.

The Dutchman, who began his career at Bologna before moving to Man Utd in 2024, has struggled to find his footing in the Premier League, netting just nine goals in 75 matches. A return to a more familiar environment may prove beneficial for the 25-year-old, who aims to bounce back. Zirkzee would likely serve as a backup striker at Juventus, but his presence could still be valuable for Luciano Spalletti's team, provided the Bianconeri manage to free up squad space.
