In the 2023 PRN election in Negeri Sembilan, the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition played a crucial role in helping BN maintain eight seats with a narrow majority. This strategic partnership not only enabled BN to retain these seats but also transformed many of them into landslide victories. According to the election analysis, BN's majority in eight constituencies surged more than 15 times, increasing from a total of 3,722 votes in 2023 to a staggering 55,908 votes in the current election.

The most dramatic increase occurred in Palong, where Mustapha Nagoor won with a massive margin of 13,702 votes, compared to just 564 votes in the previous PRN election. Mustapha garnered 15,197 votes, leaving Pakatan Harapan's Zahin Zinal Abidin with 1,495 votes and Bersatu's Rebin Birham with 590 votes. In Lenggeng, Asna Amin's majority jumped from 685 votes to 9,994, while Suhaimi Aini in Kota recorded a 7,693-vote majority, up from just 135 votes in 2023.

Razi Ali further solidified BN's position in Sungai Lui, winning with a 8,466-vote majority, up from a narrow 535-vote lead in the 2023 election. Notable increases were also seen in Juasseh, where BN's majority grew from only 78 votes to 4,091, and in Seri Menanti, where the majority climbed from 370 votes to 4,323. In Jeram Padang, Zaidy Abdul Kadir's majority increased from 693 votes to 4,482, and in Senaling, Qayyum Abd Jalil retained his position with a 3,157-vote majority, compared to BN's 662-vote lead in 2023.

Across all eight contested constituencies, PN refrained from fielding any candidates against BN and instead opened the way for cross-party support to back BN candidates. The PRN election in Negeri Sembilan resulted in BN winning 18 seats, while PH won 11, and PN secured seven. Both BN and PN agreed to form the new administration of Negeri Sembilan.
