Emily Moreno, who is the daughter of U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno, has alleged that Miller physically abused her and their daughter during their marriage, claiming he scalded, hit, and threatened her. However, Miller has consistently denied these allegations in recent videos and court appearances. The dispute also includes a broken collarbone sustained by their 2-year-old daughter, which led Moreno to contact authorities.

The couple has differing accounts of how the injury occurred, as reported by Mother Jones magazine. Democrats have been urging Miller to step down, calling for a congressional ethics investigation and suggesting increased support for his Democratic opponent, Brian Poindexter, in the upcoming fall election.
