New boss Maresca is perfect for Man City - Gvardiol

Newly appointed Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has been hailed as a "perfect one" by defender Josko Gvardiol. The Italian manager, who succeeded Pep Guardiola after the latter's decision to step down after a decade in charge, has been given the task of leading the club following the legendary coach's departure. Maresca, 46, has already made his mark at City, signing a three-year deal to take over from Guardiola.

Gvardiol, who has played four matches at this summer's World Cup for Croatia, praised Maresca's new ideas and the high level of play at City. The defender also expressed his willingness to adapt to the new manager's style and tactics, emphasizing the importance of helping Maresca during this transition period. Gvardiol further noted that the club's leadership group would need to be established, with Ruben McAidoo potentially becoming the new captain following the departure of Bernardo Silva.
