Monsoon Session: Congress set to stall House over Ram temple donation scam

In the midst of anticipated disruption in Parliament, the Congress party has expressed its discontent with the current administration, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of evading the legislative body. This comes as the Opposition has been pushing for a crucial discussion on the Ayodhya donation scam.

Congress Member of Parliament Pramod Tiwari has vehemently accused the BJP of being involved in the "chanda chor" scam and criticized the prime minister for safeguarding the trust's "big fish" while targeting its underlings. He alleged that every appointment within the trust was made by the prime minister himself.

Tiwari emphasized that the Modi government aims to make the donation theft issue fade away over time, hoping it will be forgotten. However, he stressed that this matter is deeply rooted in the faith of millions of Indians. Tiwari demanded a Supreme Court-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the matter, asserting that the SIT formed by the Uttar Pradesh government is fraudulent.

He called for answers to be provided to the country's 1.4 billion citizens and vowed to continue raising the issue in the public domain until the guilty parties are held accountable. Tiwari assured that the matter will be revisited in the House on Monday.
