Man killed, another injured after minor rams rented car into scooter in Hyderabad

A 60-year-old man named Rajkumar lost his life and his 55-year-old brother Prabhakar sustained injuries when a car driven by a 17-year-old boy went out of control in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. The deceased and the injured are residents of Karmika Nagar and were en route to church on a scooter. The vehicle involved was a white Maruti Baleno (TS 09 FK 4804), which had been rented earlier that morning by 19-year-old Fawad for a joyride to Ananthagiri Hills along with two other Intermediate students.

Fawad and the accused had left the car for a brief while, and it was the minor boy who attempted to drive it. The vehicle reportedly sped out of control, colliding with seven parked motorcycles before crossing to the other side of the road and hitting Rajkumar and Prabhakar. The police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.

The car is registered in the name of Shaik Azmatullah and has pending traffic fines of ₹3,240 from September 2025.
