Jaguars make 2 roster moves before 4th training camp practice

The Jacksonville Jaguars revealed two roster alterations prior to their fourth training camp practice on Sunday. The team has added linebacker Jared Bartlett and released wide receiver Ben Patterson to make space on their roster.

Jared Bartlett, who went undrafted in 2025 after a collegiate career, made his debut with the Arizona Cardinals in special teams duties. He participated in four of six different phases during those two games and recorded 35 total snaps. Over his five-year college tenure, spanning West Virginia and Cincinnati, Bartlett logged over 2,200 defensive snaps.

His proficiency as a blitzing linebacker from the linebacker position was evident, with 49 pressures in his final two seasons. Additionally, he demonstrated strong performance as a run defender according to PFF's analysis.

The signing of Bartlett is strategic given the absence of Jack Kiser due to injury. He now offers valuable depth at the linebacker position during these training camp practices. Ben Patterson, on the other hand, had previously signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL draft.
