Giants Swept by Padres as Early Deficit Proves Too Much

Osleivis Basabe then equalized the score with a solo home run in the fifth inning, but Luis Campusano's RBI single restored the Padres' two-run advantage. Despite efforts from the Giants bullpen and Rafael Devers' 23rd home run, the Giants were unable to mount a comeback, falling short in Sunday's game. The defeat marks the end of the Giants' three-game series and leaves them looking to bounce back in their upcoming series against the Texas Rangers.
