BN-PN belum bincang kerjasama PRU16, tumpu dulu tadbir N Sembilan

Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) have not discussed cooperation for the upcoming 2016 General Election (PRU16), according to Umno Deputy President Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail. The primary focus now is on strengthening the administration of the newly formed state government in Negeri Sembilan after the recent State Legislative Assembly (PRN) elections.

"We haven't discussed that yet. We are focusing on resolving issues in Negeri Sembilan first... after that, we will see the developments in Malacca," he stated after inaugurating a meeting in Temerloh, according to Berita Harian.

During the recent PRN elections, BN secured 18 parliamentary seats while PN won seven, while Pakatan Harapan (PH) claimed 11 seats. Wan Rosdy denied allegations that BN exploited racial issues throughout the PRN campaign in Negeri Sembilan. "If we had played the race card, how could MCA candidates win in a majority Malay area? Malay people continue to support MCA candidates.

This clearly proves that we did not play the race issue throughout the campaign," he explained. He added that the election results also showed that voters are becoming more discerning in their choices and are less influenced by such allegations. The election results demonstrate that the people make choices based on candidates' merits and government stability.
