Bayern retain long-term interest in Man Utd’s Sesko

Bayern Munich maintain their interest in Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko as they strategize for a post-Harry Kane era. The 23-year-old Slovenia international is not anticipated to be a target for an immediate transfer, but the German champions have him on their radar as part of their long-term offensive plans. According to CF Bayern Insider, Bayern sees Kane gradually shifting into a more creative position as he ages, making a traditional center-forward role a viable option for Sesko.

The club initially pursued Sesko in 2024, but his price tag proved prohibitive before he signed with Manchester United. Christian Falk, a Bayern insider, confirmed that the idea of pairing Kane with a more advanced striker remains a consideration. The German champions strengthened their attack this summer with the signing of Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, diminishing the urgency to sign another forward during the current transfer window.

Falk suggested that Bayern could reevaluate their interest in Sesko should he struggle to secure a consistent spot at United, although an immediate bid is not expected. Sesko, who scored 12 goals in all competitions during his debut season at Old Trafford, remains a valuable asset to Michael Carrick's squad, and Bayern is expected to continue monitoring his progress as they shape their long-term succession plan around Kane.
