Miami Heat forward Bam Adebayo has expressed his top five NBA players list, excluding basketball icon LeBron James. The award-winning athlete recently received the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, an honor recognizing players who contribute to social justice and community service. Adebayo was recently asked by students at his basketball camp to name his all-time top five NBA players, without himself included.

After a brief thought, he responded with the names Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, and Tim Duncan. The list, while subjective, is supported by Adebayo's inclusion of four all-time greats who achieved success while remaining with the same team. Furthermore, Kevin Durant won two championships after joining the Golden State Warriors alongside Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

LeBron James' career, marked by his flexibility in joining different teams, has led him to surpass records set by the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James currently leads the all-time scoring chart with 43,440 points. The star has recently joined the Philadelphia 76ers, opting for the team instead of other suitors like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, and Adebayo's Miami Heat.

Adebayo's remarkable performance last season was highlighted by his 83-point game. The 76ers' newfound All-Star player, the Greek Freak, will face off with his old Heat teammate in the upcoming Eastern Conference battles. Other notable teams vying for the championship include the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Detroit Pistons.

Currently, the Heat have the sixth-best odds to win the Eastern Conference at +1000, just a spot behind the top 10 teams at +3000 in terms of odds to claim the NBA championship.
