Thousands attend Bray Air Display in Wicklow

Tens of thousands of spectators flocked to this year's Bray Air Display, marking the 19th edition of Ireland's premier aviation event. The festival showcased Team Raven, a renowned civilian air display team, along with parachutists from the Defence Forces' Black Knight team, wing walkers, and historic aircraft. Attendees were offered an immersive Future of Flight zone, where virtual reality headsets allowed them to experience the thrill of piloting a drone and witness real-life drone displays.

A minor fire erupted in a green area between the beach and Bray Head, quickly extinguished by firefighting personnel. Organizers attributed the cause to deliberate arson, but the fire was swiftly controlled, preventing any damage or disruption to the event. Authorities have confirmed road closures in Bray town for the duration of the free event.

To minimize traffic congestion, organizers recommend attendees arrive by walking, cycling, or utilizing public transport options. Two official car parks were available, accompanied by free shuttle bus services to the seafront. Those driving to the event were advised to adhere to parking regulations, as limited spaces would be enforced in town.
