Russian jet-powered Shahed hits Rozetka warehouse with 270 people inside

On August 1, a Russian jet-powered Shahed drone struck a Rozetka warehouse, where 270 employees were working, according to co-owner Iryna Chechotkina on Facebook. The attack resulted in the death of Rozetka employee Volodymyr Melnychenko and seven others were hospitalized, Chechotkina reported. The Kyiv Oblast Military Administration head, Tymur Tkachenko, earlier stated that a Russian drone attacked a warehouse in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, killing one person, injuring at least six, and damaging 13 vehicles, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.

Chechotkina pledged that Rozetka would provide medical, psychological, and financial support to the victims and their families. Presidential adviser Serhii Beskrestnov, also known as Flash, revealed that the attack targeted minibuses in the warehouse parking lot, though the main target was not clear. Beskrestnov claimed that such attacks, involving jet-powered Geran-4 drones, are authorized at a lower level than ballistic missile targeting.

He noted that the warehouse itself is unimportant to the enemy and that they were likely targeting vehicles in the parking lot, as there were no cargo trucks or tractor-trailers present.
