'Par of the week!' - Ko & Woad lead best shots of third round

England's Lottie Woad and Charley Hull are both in contention as the AIG Women's Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes heads into its final round. Woad shot a one-under 70 on Saturday, sitting at three under par, while Hull recovered from early bogeys to card a 71, leaving her five shots behind leader Yealimi Noh at two under. Hull expressed pride in her performance, noting that she made critical birdies on the 15th and 16th holes and saved par on the penultimate hole after struggling initially.

American Noh finished with a stellar two-under 69, joining a select group of nine players who ended the third round under par. Other top contenders include Germany's Esther Henseleit, four shots back at four under, and American Lucy Li, Japan's Shiho Kuwaki, Thailand's Shiho Kuwaki, and South Korea's Haeran Ryu, who is seeking her third consecutive major title.

Home favorite Lydia Ko, a three-time major winner, remains in contention at one under. Nelly Korda's chances of securing a career grand slam were affected by a double-bogey on the 18th, putting her eight shots behind the leader. Despite the challenging conditions, including strong winds, Hull and Woad's performances suggest they remain strong contenders for the title.
