GAA 'overwhelmingly' agrees to maintain Allianz deal

The GAA has decided to maintain its sponsorship deal with Allianz, following a unanimous agreement from the Central Council and the Management Committee. This decision came after the Ethics and Integrity Commission recommended continuing the partnership last December. The GAA had previously considered removing Allianz from its sponsor list after protests at Croke Park in February.

Despite these protests, Allianz, along with other companies, was listed in a UN report on human rights in the Palestinian territories. The GAA's decision to keep Allianz as a partner was reaffirmed at meetings of the Management Committee and Central Council last Saturday. The organization is also set to host significant sporting events at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in October.
