Former Japanese idol leaves group and launches career on adult platform

A former member of the Japanese idol group Magic Palette has departed from the group and embarked on a new career on an adult subscription platform, citing internal conflicts and the exposure of private material as the primary reasons for her decision. Hana Kanade Moka, who performed under the name MOKA with Magic Palette, commenced publishing content on the Japanese platform MyFans on July 7.

This move represented a significant departure from the innocent image she projected during her time as an idol, where performers typically cultivated carefully-managed public personas tailored to their fans' preferences. According to reports, MOKA’s relationship with other group members had steadily deteriorated over the year following her debut, culminating in a breaking point just one day before a planned performance.

During this time, another member allegedly shared sensitive material from MOKA’s private Instagram account publicly, causing her considerable emotional distress and prompting her to reassess her future within the group. Following her departure from Magic Palette, MOKA began working independently under the same name on MyFans. MOKA emphasized that her career change was not merely a personal choice, but also a reflection of her experiences within the idol industry and her determination to forge her own path.

Initial reports about MOKA’s departure and her new career surfaced in Japanese and Chinese-language entertainment media prior to being picked up by Khaosod.
