Commercial LPG prices drop: 19-kg cylinder rate cut by ₹202 in Delhi, ₹209 in Kolkata

The cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by ₹202 in Delhi and ₹209 in Kolkata, starting this Saturday. In Kolkata, a 19 Kg cylinder will now cost ₹2,872.50. Domestic cylinder prices remain unchanged. Earlier last month, oil marketing companies decreased the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders to ₹2,930 per unit in Delhi, a reduction of ₹183.50, effective July 1.

Besides this commercial LPG cut, the price of the 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder was also lowered by ₹13. The new retail price of a 5-kg FTL cylinder in Delhi is now ₹808.50. This is the latest price cut in commercial LPG after several changes in recent months. In June, domestic LPG prices were increased by ₹29 per cylinder, raising the cost of a 14.2-kg domestic cylinder in Delhi from ₹913 to ₹942.

Earlier, in March, oil companies had increased LPG prices by ₹60 per cylinder due to disruptions in global markets caused by conflict in West Asia. In April, commercial LPG prices were raised by ₹195.50 across major cities amid West Asian tensions. With this latest revision, commercial LPG prices reached ₹2,208 in Kolkata, ₹2,031 in Mumbai, and ₹2,246.50 in Chennai.

For sectors reliant on commercial LPG, such as restaurants, catering services, and small businesses, fuel costs constitute a significant portion of operating expenses.
