Ted Lasso returns next week with two major changes in season 4

Ted Lasso season 4 is set to premiere on August 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT, bringing with it two major changes. The beloved characters from past seasons, including Ted, Rebecca, Keeley, Roy, and Coach Beard, will continue to grace the screen. However, the new season introduces a significant shift as it centers on a women's team, the Lady Greyhounds.

Newcomers Tanya Reynolds, Abbie Hern, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Aisling Sharkey, and Rex Hayes will join the cast, with the latter two appearing as twins. On the other hand, regular AFC Richmond men Jamie Tartt, Dani Rojas, Sam Obisanya, Isaac McAdoo, and Colin Hughes will be absent, though they may make cameo appearances. Co-creator Bill Lawrence, who previously played a pivotal role, will work alongside Jack Burditt, an experienced showrunner known for 30 Rock and Modern Family.

Lawrence, who had virtually no involvement in season 3, is now assisting Sudeikis in keeping the show on budget and on schedule.
