Swedish Higher Education Council posts example questions for citizenship test

On August 15th, the Swedish Higher Education Council (UHR) will administer its first civics test for citizenship in Stockholm, targeting approximately 1,000 participants. To give applicants an idea of the test format, UHR has published five example questions. The test consists of 60 multiple-choice questions, each with four possible answers, only one of which is correct.

While numerous mock practice tests have emerged online, including The Local's own, the official example questions have now been released by UHR. These can be found under the heading "Provfrågor" and are accompanied by audio versions of the study booklet. The test will be conducted in Swedish, although the language level required is equivalent to a lower intermediate proficiency level for citizenship. Below are the five example questions translated into English:

1. "What is the primary task of the public sector?" - Answer options: 2. "What is the title of Sweden's head of state?" - Answer options: 3.
