Apple’s CEO Hints That Heavy Use of Siri AI Could Cost You

Apple's outgoing CEO, Tim Cook, suggested during the company's quarterly earnings call that heavy usage of the upcoming Siri AI could result in additional costs for users. Siri AI, a new voice assistant redesign first unveiled at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference in June, is expected to be available on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and VisionOS 27.

Cook hinted at the potential for an upgrade option within the iCloud Plus application stack, stating that there will be people who want to use Siri AI extensively. He added that these ideas are still in the early stages and did not provide a complete plan. Apple's team is reportedly excited about Siri AI, with feedback being overwhelmingly positive so far.

The new AI-powered virtual assistant is expected to come with its own app, customization options, Visual Intelligence, and a new design. Some of Siri's new capabilities include finding information about events, sending messages, creating personalized photo albums, and identifying places from pictures.
