AI startup Corgi to open 24/7 cafe in London

San Francisco-based AI insurance startup Corgi is expanding its founder-focused cafe concept to London. The new 24/7 cafe will be located in Shoreditch’s Great Eastern Street and is set to open in mid-August, according to Claudia Maggi, Corgi’s London community lead. Corgi already operates two cafes in the US, in San Francisco and Atlanta, which serve as hubs for founders, investors, and operators to meet and mingle.

London is the largest startup ecosystem in Europe and a top global destination, making it the perfect first stop for Corgi outside of the US. The decision to open a 24/7 cafe in London was driven by the city’s high concentration of founders and operators who often work in scattered offices and venues, leaving no clear gathering place.

Corgi’s menu pays tribute to London’s vibrant startup scene with unique drinks like the 'ElevenLatte', named after voice AI firm ElevenLabs. As Corgi’s valuation soared to $4bn during a rapid fundraising round, the company gained attention for its seven-day work week policy. The new London location comes after a strong first half of 2026 for the city, with startups raising nearly €17bn, more than double the €10bn collected in the same period a year earlier.
