Pauline Hanson doesn’t like family law. Not much has changed since 1998

Pauline Hanson, the Australian Senator and leader of the far-right political party One Nation, has expressed her disapproval of the family law system. This sentiment is not a recent development, as it echoes her views from 1998 when she ran for Prime Minister. In recent years, during various podcasts, Hanson has criticized the Family Court, calling it "the slaughterhouse of the nation".

She argues that the law should be "wound back" and that employers should not be responsible for providing paid domestic violence leave. Hanson also believes that domestic violence accusations are often "used as a weapon" in court proceedings, diverting police resources away from "real crime". These views were uncovered by Guardian Australia's Josh Butler from interviews she gave over the past few years.
