Eater World’s Fare Was a Global Celebration of Food and Soccer

On Saturday evening, Eater orchestrated a vibrant gathering of gastronomy and soccer in New York City's Pier 36, drawing thousands of enthusiasts. Over thirty top-tier chefs and restaurants, as well as out-of-towners, converged to offer a diverse array of culinary delights, including banh mi, burritos, pizza slices, and ramen. Despite a drizzling sky, the atmosphere was lively, as attendees, donning their team jerseys, engaged in an inflatable kefir goal-scoring game.

They savored samples of Lifeway Kefir's probiotic drinks and cheeses, posed for photos beside a towering Maruchan ramen sculpture, and interacted with Seattle-based chef Shota Nakajima, who showcased a ramen trio reflecting Japanese, Korean, and American flavors. Attendees were invited to vote on their favorite ramen creation in a nail-biting contest.

Complementary refreshments abounded, ranging from sweet treats like cheesecake and brownies to intriguing bites from A Taste of Asia, a travel-themed section highlighting Hong Kong-style French toast, Filipino beef adobo, and Thai duck croquettes. In the exclusive VIP lounge, guests indulged in premium dishes from renowned chefs such as Dominique Ansel, Jose Andres, and South Philly Barbacoa, while enjoying a curated selection of beverages from S.
