ECB appoints Boris Kisselevsky as Director General Secretariat

The European Central Bank (ECB) has named Boris Kisselevsky as Director General of the Secretariat, effective November 1, 2026. In this capacity, Kisselevsky will oversee the strategic direction of the Directorate General Secretariat, manage staff across three divisions, and represent the ECB on various committees and high-level forums.

He replaces Petra Senkovic, who will assume the role of Director General of Legal Services. Kisselevsky, a French citizen, has been with the ECB since 1998, beginning as an economist. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Head of the ECB Representative Office in Brussels, liaising with EU institutions and advising ECB officials.

Kisselevsky holds advanced degrees in law, economics, and business administration. The Secretariat plays a crucial role in decision-making, knowledge sharing, and ensuring effective governance within the ECB.
