Marvel's Wolverine confirmed to have New Game Plus at launch and features a side activity called Nightmare Doors where players 'confront Logan's nightmares to uncover his past'

Marvel's Wolverine, set to release on PlayStation 5 next month, will include a "New Game Plus" mode at launch. This feature allows players to replay the game with all their previous progress, upgrades, and unlocked suits. According to Insomniac Games' senior project director Jess Reiner-Reed, players can choose their preferred suit and even access gameplay adaptations exclusive to the New Game Plus mode.

Insomniac head of technology Mike Fitzgerald revealed that these adaptations can either increase the difficulty or make Wolverine a more powerful and aggressive character.

In addition to New Game Plus, the game will also feature "Mission Replay." This allows players to rerun any mission for fun or to collect items such as whiskey bottles, which serve as power-ups for Wolverine's progression, and material crates containing raw materials necessary to unlock new suits.

The most intriguing feature is "Nightmare Doors," a side activity where players confront Wolverine's nightmares to uncover his past. These trials present manifestations of the terrible things haunting Logan's mind, offering a diverse range of challenges. Insomniac's Reiner-Reed explained that Nightmare Doors is a "story-driven adventure" in which players can explore Logan's psyche by venturing off the main path.

This unique side activity adds depth to Wolverine's character and sets the stage for a captivating launch experience.
