“My mistake” – New Man Utd signing apologises to club after causing a stir with controversial comment

Manchester United’s recent signing, Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans, has apologized to Aston Villa and their supporters for causing controversy with a recent statement. The 22-year-old Brazilian brought his talents to Old Trafford as part of the club’s summer signings, following Andrey Santos from Chelsea. While United had to negotiate with Chelsea for Santos, Villa did not engage in talks for Tielemans, who is already under a £35 million release clause in his contract.

In a press conference in Dublin, Tielemans revealed he had been close to joining United on two previous occasions but was unable to secure a move.
