Hearn threatens to call Joshua vs Fury off

Eddie Hearn, boxing promoter, has indicated his intention to call off the highly-anticipated fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury unless the match is moved from the United Kingdom to New York. This threat was made following reports that both fighters had signed contracts for the bout. Joshua recently made his comeback in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, while Fury fought Mariusz Wach in Thailand.

The potential fight was rumored to take place at Madison Square Garden in November. Hearn emphasized that he and Joshua are committed to staging the match in the UK, stating that they are under significant pressure due to Netflix's desire for the event in the US. Despite agreeing with the financial concerns, Hearn claimed that he is not the one responsible for the final decision, given the substantial financial stakes.

He warned that the organizers could announce the fight in New York, potentially leading to its cancellation if there is no agreement to relocate the event.
