QIB announces 2 new millionaires of ninth Misk Account edition

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) revealed the addition of two new millionaires from the ninth Misk Account edition, continuing its dedication to recognizing responsible saving and supporting customers throughout Qatar. Mubarak Khalifa Mohamad and Maryam Jawad Abdulla each won the top prize of QR1 million, following a draw monitored by Ministry of Commerce and Industry officials and QIB representatives.

This marks the fourth millionaire announcement for this edition, with four more winners yet to be named this year. The Misk Account currently boasts the largest prize pool in the nation, totaling QR26 million, offering 1,124 QIB customers the chance to win. Unlike previous years, the millionaire draw has now been scheduled bi-monthly, with 12 QR1 million grand prize winners this year.

Alongside the grand prizes, six customers receive QR50,000 monthly, while 20 customers win QR10,000 weekly. To be eligible for the grand prize, customers must open a Misk Account at least three months prior to the draw and maintain a monthly balance of at least QR10,000. Each extra QR10,000 earned grants additional chances to win.

Mohamad Khalifa Mubarak claimed the prize on behalf of his grandfather, while Abdulla Ahmad al-Abdulla received the prize for his wife, Maryam Jawad Abdulla. Both expressed surprise at their win, urging other customers to open a Misk Account to pursue the opportunity to become the next Misk millionaire. D Anand, QIB's general manager for Personal Banking Group, expressed pleasure at congratulating the two new millionaires, highlighting the account's success in fostering a saving habit among customers and providing rewarding opportunities throughout the year.
