"account": "Dubai's iconic Dubai Fountain has recommenced its performances, observing a period of mourning following the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The renowned fountain, which draws crowds with its choreographed displays of water, music and light, was paused in accordance with an official 10-day mourning period announced by the government.\n\nThe resumption comes after a five-month closure for renovation and upgrades, which prompted a massive gathering of spectators when the attraction made its triumphant return on October 1, 2025. The latest suspension was a somber tribute to Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, younger brother of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.\n\nSheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum tragically passed away on Monday morning, triggering the official mourning period. In response, Dubai Fountain adjusted its presentation to reflect the solemnity of the occasion. While the iconic attraction continues to captivate audiences with its mesmerizing performances, the mourning period serves as a poignant reminder of the city's respect for its revered leaders and the community's shared grief.",
