"account": "In Taiwan, eight individuals have been arrested for allegedly torturing a 26-year-old man named Wang, who survived the ordeal and was taken to a hospital, according to ETtoday. The incident took place in Dalin Township, Chiayi County. Wang had been searching for work and had borrowed money from various individuals, leading to financial difficulties. One of his lenders was a 25-year-old man named Lin, who was also angered when Wang asked Lin's girlfriend to sleep with him. The eight suspects allegedly kidnapped Wang and held him at a rented property, where they subjected him to severe torture. They doused him in alcohol, set him on fire, and used a heated branding iron on his abdomen and genitals, causing severe burns across his body. Police were alerted, and the man was rushed to the hospital. The suspects were arrested across three counties, with four of them accused of attempted murder, unlawful detention, and aggravated assault. Prosecutors sought to hold them without visitation, believing they might flee, and the court agreed. Further investigations are ongoing.",
