"account": "A new 10p coin featuring King Charles and the capercaillie, a threatened bird found in Scotland, has started circulating in the UK. This marks the first time in about four years that these coins are entering circulation, thanks to sufficient demand. The Royal Mint announced the release of 600,000 coins dated 2023 and 6.5 million coins dated 2026 to banks and post offices across the nation. The reverse side of the coin showcases an illustration of the capercaillie, an endangered species found in a small part of Scotland. The capercaillie, also known as the grouse, has faced a rapid decline in population and is at risk of extinction. The Royal Mint hopes that by placing this bird in millions of pockets and purses, it will raise awareness about the species' endangered status. The new 10p coins join the redesigned suite of coins celebrating the King's love for nature, which includes coins featuring bees, an oak tree leaf, and other flora and fauna. These coins replace the previous designs featuring the late Queen Elizabeth II's portrait. With only 1% of the 24.1 billion coins in circulation now featuring King Charles, these new coins are highly sought after by collectors.",
"summary": "The coin has been designed to feature King Charles III and a Scottish grouse close to extinction.",
